The benefits of social media networking sites are indisputable. Like any business promotional technique, there are challenges. To understand how to properly assess those challenges and how to rise above them, you must be able to dissect fact from fiction. Here’s help:

1. Cost: Social media sites are free. It does not cost anything to set up a Twitter account or join Facebook. But time is money. It takes time, ingenuity and real work to properly integrate your sites for optimum promotional value.

Knowing how to do this integration properly takes a learning curve and a good mentor. You can do it the easy way or the hard way. The hard way ensures frustration and becoming a quitter.

2. Targeting: Understand marketing targeting. Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and others have many users who avail themselves of these sites to keep up on the mundane. Internet and Affiliate Marketing With Social Media for Baby Boomers as I dicussed before the Internet is really in it’s infancy some like 12 years old.The point to this is every couple of month somebody comes up with their latest idea on how to build you list.Like a while back it was to create an E-Book and Market it.

Then the next great idea was article marketing and then if memiory serves me it was building back links with your articles.

Then we moved on to JV partners and E-Mail swaps.Then ofcourse we need to mention Blogging oh ya you need to have a blog of your own.Then we move on to tela semenares yes everybody who was anybody in the internet marketing business had to have his are her own semiare.

Then next scheme  was to have a membership site on line,I mean you just couldn’t be anybody unless you went to each and everyone of these steps. So now we have envoled into Social Media.

Now I can see the strange look on your face what exactly is social meda.Well after doing my home work it involes get on FaceBook and or Twitter and haveing your presance there and making friends.

Well here’s my take as an old introvert and not being the most social person this really doesn’t look that easy to me.

First from what I can see these sites have more ruels and reulations than Obomas government,which means a lot of regualtions and rules.Then you have to figure out how to drive them which if you haven’t looked into it yet can get a little complicate if your not that good with a computer.

Now after doing some reaserch I did find one kid named Paul O’Mahony (info@paulomahony.com) which from what I’ve learned he  is supposed to be an expert on the subject and has made quite a bit of money with social marketing

Now my thought on this if you know nothing about the subject Social Media Marketing  you might be better off trying to out source this untill you can figure it out.You can go to the Warior Fourm and find some good information on the subject but be prepared to spend some time and money.

Just looks to me that that there are to many rules and it would to easy to get band if you make a mistake,Just my thoughts.

Being a jack of all trades and a master of none you really need to do some reaserch which aspect of internet marketing fits your personality.

We’ve all heard about the four Ps of marketing. Well hands up who hasn’t. No worries no one can see.

The four Ps were created mainly to describe the ideal “marketing mix”. The term “marketing mix” now used in every day marketing language was born in the early nineteen sixties.

I would argue the four P’s of marketing are mainly for product marketing. Since most things these days have a service element we should be thinking about all marketing relevant to the seven Ps. Okay a bit more recent. The seven Ps started life in 1981. If you are marketing with any element of service and your marketing people are not using this, worry!

So let’s take a look at another more contemporary idea for B2B marketing – the Four Cs. This framework is more contempoary, and in my opinion, more relevant to a wider range of today’s marketing challenges.

The 4 Cs of B2B Marketing are:

Content – the creation of a steady stream of engaging content

Connection – connecting with the audience you wish to appeal to

Communication – communicating with them in an continuing conversation (this is where socials media can play a big part. It will not replace direct marketing and there will still be a need for visual communications (design) all-be-it possibly a declining role)

Conversion – and then converting them at the illusive moment of need

Since B2B Marketing is arguably more of a marathon than a sprint in marketing – you need to always have your 4 Cs focus going – creating the best content, finding and connecting with your target audience, sustaining the communications pattern until they are ready to convert – this way you have a real:fighting chance of making all your marketing efforts count toward one goal – Sales!
